| To the rescue |
Our case studies prove we’re the Coast Guard of Courier Services.
Whether personal or industrial, if you encounter troubled waters, we’ll haul you to shore.
CASE OF THE REAR-VIEW MIRRORS – Without a steady stream of rear-view mirrors,
production would shut down at an auto assembly plant. Starting at 2:00 a.m.,
private planes begin ferrying mirrors “hot off the line” from Tennessee to Michigan. Metro drivers meet incoming planes, |
 |
deliver to assembly plant, return to airport and so it goes through the night.
CASE OF THE MISSING KEYS – “I don’t know if you do anything like this, but I t
ook my husband’s keys to work and I don’t have time to go back, and he can’t
get to work himself without them. Can you help?” Sure, no problem, be right there.
CASE OF THE ERRANT BRIEFCASE – Executive leaves briefcase, full of proprietary materials,
at meeting site in Ann Arbor. Plane is in the air carrying executive to Chicago;
briefcase is on the ground, secure in Metro custody, traveling west for same-day reunion with owner. |
| Yes, we have…way too many bananas. |
A mountain of bananas, loaded onto a semi-trucks and threatening to rot,
unless we find somebody to deliver them bunch-by-bunch to 150 convenience stores all over Michigan’s lower peninsula.
The PR guy who told that story was plenty stressed.
Those bananas were the centerpiece of a produce promotion, already heavily publicized,
so more was at stake than a monkey’s lunch. |
 |
Banana bread was not an option. Suffice to say, those bunches of potassium-loaded,
self-wrapped goodies got to their multitudinous destinations with no slips. |
| Not just for people |
Dogs have blood types and blood banks. And, just like people, a need for getting donations transported safely and on time.
Our zoological roster doesn’t stop there. We’ve carried laboratory specimens
from penguins and monkeys. Also live critters. We’re approved by the US Department
of Agriculture for the transport of live animals.
If your needs are exotic, we’re for you. |

| G’day, mate. Could you make that a Foster’s? |
Melinda from Australia phones from Down Under. She wants beer delivered from
the local Whole Foods store to friends at the University of Michigan.
We’re not sure this actually counts as international service, but we sure did love her accent.
And, of course, the brewed gift was no spills on our end.
Melinda says, “ Who'd have thought it would be so |
 |
| easy to get a case of beer delivered from half a world away........... that's amazing!!!! ” |
